The Travel Clinic Ltd has been selected by the EEDA High Growth Programme, run by St John’s Innovation Centre in Cambridge, as a company which has potential to grow substantially in the next 3 years.  As part of the programme we receive support in Masterclasses and from a specialist High Growth coach, as well as having access to all the other business resources at St John's Innovation Centre.

We have been operating for nearly 10 years offering specialist medical advice to East Anglia’s travelling public, ranging from babies to the elderly, from schoolchildren on school visits to university and college students on a gap-year or university course trips.  We also operate in the increasingly important area of the corporate traveller where absence through illness, especially as a result of travelling overseas, can be seriously detrimental to the efficiency and effectiveness of any organisation.  In the latter area, we give employers the confidence that medical risks to their staff have been professionally assessed by travel health specialists and then first class protective or preventative treatments provided.  We work with individuals, SMEs, schools and colleges, and also have large corporate accounts in our portfolio, but each person receives a personal consultation and treatment tailored to their needs.

We are not just a vaccination service; we provide advice on any illnesses one may encounter in the chosen area of travel.  If patients decide not to be vaccinated, from our consultation they will leave knowing how diseases are transmitted and how to protect themselves from harm.  Our specialist team of doctors and nurses have all had post-graduate training in the field of Travel Health, and not only do we operate from two clinics in the region, but also can provide a visiting service to clients who require larger numbers of staff to be seen.  

Our High Growth coach, Chris Trigg, who is funded by EEDA, has given us exceptional support with strategic planning and direction, team coaching, marketing strategies and an awareness of how we should present ourselves in our chosen market.  From increasing staff levels, motivation, marketing ourselves, and so much more, the High Growth coaching programme gives us an invaluable opportunity to tap-in to an experienced, professional business sounding board, for new ideas as healthcare workers and travel health specialists.
